An unusual-looking element in LEGO 75340 Star Wars Advent Calendar has sparked some hilarious reactions online.
Reddit user Teos2007 shared an image of what looks like it's supposed to be a black 1x1 piece with an open O Clip – but it was heavily discoloured.
"Got this in my star wars advent calendar, does this happen often?" asked Teos2007 in the LEGO subreddit.
Other LEGO fans were quick to chime in on the person's discovery, with one quipping: 'Carbon scoring, these blaster marks are much too precise to have been left by sand people.' Another added: 'Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise'.
Someone else took a different route with the witty answers, writing: 'I think that's one of the "Alderaan aftermath collection"'.

Luckily, one Reddit user had a more serious answer for why the piece might look like that, saying: 'Looks like residual plastic that was stuck in the mold when they were changing colors from black to grey. Out of the thousands of pieces I've seen, never encountered one like this before.'
While it's rare for pieces like this to make it through the LEGO Group's quality checks, if you do find something like this in your own advent calendar or any other LEGO set, you can report it to Customer Service and they'll offer you a replacement. Simply head to the Replacement Parts page on the LEGO Group's website.
