An extra LEGO NINJAGO 2026 set will be revealed soon

Now that LEGO NINJAGO's 15th anniversary is underway, an additional set to tie into the celebrations has been teased, and it will be limited edition.

The recent teasers for the BrickLink Designer Program Series 7 final set designs include one that stands out for tying in to a specific theme not often seen outside its own boundaries. The teaser seemingly belongs to terauma's Antique Collection and sticks out from the rest of the teasers for featuring what is undoubtedly a major reference to NINJAGO.

Although we're still waiting to get a full look at the model, it's easier to identify the submissions that the other four teasers belong to. We can also see four of the new NINJAGO 2026 hoods, as well as four weapon pieces, on display in a brick-built interior. That's what the Antique Collection is intended for – displaying interesting LEGO elements from your collection.

Should this teaser be for the Antique Collection set, these elements will likely be featured in the official design, rather than just being used for promotional purposes. Previous BrickLink Designer Program marketing and teasers have only used pieces that are in the official set.

Whether the full Antique Collection build has been transformed into a NINJAGO set or not, it's interesting to see the new 2026 hoods in the build after they only just launched a couple of days ago. It positions the model as a bonus NINJAGO 2026 set, also tying into the anniversary taking place year-round. Even if the rest of the cabinet isn't based on NINJAGO, it would inspire fans to fill it up with other NINJAGO elements they wish to display.

This wouldn't be the first time that NINJAGO has gone beyond its titular theme, also appearing briefly in LEGO Minecraft in 2020. However, it's still exceedingly rare for NINJAGO characters and elements to appear outside of the main theme thanks to their unique visual style.

"It comes down to expression, and that's why the design cues for the big climbing hook came from that original blade from Seabound," shared Senior designer for LEGO NINJAGO, Dimitrios Stamatis, to Bricks by Mind. "We try to create cohesive and multi-use parts so you can use them, see it and recognise that it's NINJAGO. It creates the idea of the NINJAGO aesthetic."

Should this be a teaser for the Antique Collection, it's a clever move from the BrickLink Designer Program team. It inherently increases the appeal of what would have been a more niche pick for a Series 7 spot by tying it in to a popular property, but without straying from the core idea of the build. It's likely to now be welcomed by LEGO NINJAGO fans and we will let you know when the full designs are revealed for the Series 7 sets.
